One AI Forum 2024 — Spatial and Visual Design for an International Tech Event

On November 29–30, 2024, Minsk hosted One AI Forum — the largest AI and technology-focused event in the CIS, gathering over 5,000 participants, 100+ projects, and more than 30 speakers. The venue was the Football Manege, a multifunctional arena with a total exhibition area of approx. 12,000 m² and a clear span of up to 24 m.

My role was to create a comprehensive spatial concept that would support two event formats: Business Day (for investors and professionals) and Open House Day (for the general public).

Concept

The core idea was “immersive technologicality.” The design balanced a dark architectural base with vibrant neon gradients drawn from the forum’s branding. Large-scale media objects and light portals worked simultaneously as visual landmarks and wayfinding anchors, ensuring both clarity of navigation and a strong aesthetic identity.

Zoning & Circulation

I developed a looped circulation scenario linking all key areas:

Big Stage with a panoramic LED portal and dynamic lighting presets.
Startup & Tech Expo featuring interactive hubs: VR football by XR LAB, Immersive Drift simulator, AI demos by UBO FSP, a mini cinema zone with neural network animation, and generative music projects.
Business and VIP Lounges with soft seating, acoustic treatments, and private meeting setups.
Photo and media zones positioned as focal points and orientation landmarks.

This zoning ensured smooth visitor flow and created a sense of gradual immersion into different technological worlds.

Visual Environment

The overall aesthetic emphasized a synergy of innovation and comfort:

Lighting: even functional illumination in circulation and expo areas, accent lighting for art objects and installations, dynamic presets synchronized with stage content.
Furniture & Decor: modular exhibition stands and demo islands, comfortable lounge seating with integrated power access, concealed cabling for VR and interactive equipment.
Media Integration: more than 400 m² of LED surfaces seamlessly incorporated into architectural frames and decorative structures, becoming a part of the spatial identity.

Result

The forum space was transformed into a cohesive immersive landscape, where innovation was felt on every scale — from large media installations and iconic lighting accents to the comfort of networking lounges and the intuitive visitor routes. The design not only accommodated 100+ projects and thousands of attendees but also conveyed the forward-looking spirit of the event and its focus on future technologies.

Project delivered as part of the team at LLC “Neuro Design” (Minsk), in collaboration with Terra Group (event management). My responsibilities included spatial planning, zoning, art object design, lounge and furniture concepts, décor and lighting solutions.
