Role and Contribution
I developed the full interior design project based on the initial concept provided by a subcontractor, fully supervised its implementation, coordinated subcontractors, and carried out author’s supervision at every stage.
Concept and Inspiration
The interior design of the lobbies in the “Mountain Valley” residential quarter continues the overall architectural and landscaping concept, inspired by natural aesthetics and mountain landscapes. Natural textures such as stone, wood, and concrete highlight the connection to the environment, while decorative details, lighting fixtures, and graphics emphasize the mountain-inspired identity of the spaces.
Design Elements
Attention to detail is reflected in custom decorative features and lighting that echo motifs of rocks, ropes, and climbing routes. Clear infographics and intuitive navigation ensure comfort and orientation for residents and visitors alike.
Functionality and ComfortThe common areas are designed to support modern living through practical solutions:
— integrated mailboxes with a separate spam section,
— shelves for bookcrossing,
— intuitive wayfinding and community boards,
— mirrors in entrance areas.
Resident Amenities
Special functions enhance convenience and everyday comfort:
— a dedicated pet paw-wash room on the ground floor,
— stroller storage on each floor.
Finishes and Materials
Durable and aesthetically balanced finishes were carefully selected:
— Floors: porcelain stoneware on both the ground and typical floors,
— Walls: a combination of porcelain stoneware, decorative plaster, and textured wall panels (ground floor); textured wall panels (typical floors),
— Decorative accents: stone inserts, ropes, and carabiners as references to mountain and climbing aesthetics.
Summary
These solutions combine durability, functionality, and natural aesthetics, creating modern and welcoming entrance spaces that extend the architectural vision of the quarter and enrich the everyday life of its residents.
